The place

Neepawa is a small town with a very large employer: HyLife's pork processing plant, one of the biggest single-site employers in rural Manitoba. That plant has reshaped the town — Neepawa now has one of the highest shares of newcomer residents of any small community in the province, with Filipino, Ukrainian and Latin American families throughout the schools and main street businesses.
