The place

Dauphin is the hub of the Parkland — the place the surrounding agricultural region comes to for its hospital, its college campus, its equipment dealers and its groceries. It is also a festival town: Dauphin's Countryfest is one of the longest-running country music festivals in Canada, and the National Ukrainian Festival has been held here for decades.
